Beside the movie title suggest the "war" theme, you wont see a single scene like platoon or any other from the same style, instead it focus into something more deep and sometimes even more fearsome... the human being.
One of my favorite movies, it's a Must-Watch in my opinion.
This movie got a remake but still haven't watched it (im really afraid to see good movies transformed in something that can perfectly fit with Ed Wood sign... no offense to the Ed Wood's Fans but you got the message).
Scenes of this movie was used on the music video "One - Metallica"
